Chris Talsma

Chris Talsma has been practicing architecture in Chicago since 1999. Prior to founding Filoramo Talsma, Chris formed Latitude, LLC, a design-build firm specializing in small to medium size residential and mixed-use projects. Chris worked as both the architect and general contractor. Shortly thereafter he formed Ten Penny Development, with his current partner Mark Filoramo.

Chris has experience in a wide range of project types, from residential, mixed-use commercial, hospitality and institutional. Due to his multi-facetted background, Chris brings practical & functional hands-on experience to the practice of architecture and management. Chris’s work has been featured in Dwell and Chicago Home & Garden Magazines.

Chris was born and raised in Michigan, moving to Chicago after completing his master’s degree. Chris lives in the Printers Row neighborhood of Chicago with his wife, son and daughter. His interests include motorcycling, music, art, travel and family.
